| This is a real working 'Polo' club, and therefore a brilliant place to learn the game of polo, or improve your skills. Set in the heart of the Spanish polo community of Sotogrande and on the doorstep of Spains biggest & wildest nature reserve the Alcornacles, there is not only top class polo facilities to enjoy, but also beautiful riding country.

Summary of the trip:
The 'Polo' club is extremely well placed, just 15 minutes from the beaches and harbour of Sotogrande with it's great bars & restaurants, and just 20 minutes from Gibraltar airport.
The tuition here is top class, and you will be taught by one of the Argentinean coaches, who speak fluent English and have spent some years in the UK. The horses are very good quality, very well trained and very safe and for that reason, this club encourages both beginners and more advanced players to visit.
A typical day starts with the theory of the game, followed by stick & ball practice. Afternoons are either free to explore the region, and visit historic villages nearby like Ronda or Mijas, or take an afternoon ride out into the nature reserve of Alcornacles. Early evening is time to play polo again, with some chukkas, before relaxing into a typical Spanish night, with an 'asado' or 'paella' dinner with your host Ricardo Bas and his team.
Facilities - There is a fully boarded laser level polo field, plus 2 sand polo fields, one of which is the biggest in Spain.

The nearest airport is Gibraltar, which is just 20 minutes from the club

We encourage clients to hire a car at the airport, giving them the freedom the explore the region

| Accommodation :
Rustic, Spanish style houses, offering very comfortable self catering accommodation at the club. Includes a pool, with lovely surrounding gardens. Clients will be guests on a couple of evenings for an 'asado' or 'paella' evening with their host Ricardo Bas and his team, and they will recommend restaurants and tapas bars in the vicinity for other times, if guests choose not to self cater

In general, a typical day will include a morning of theory and stick & ball practice, an afternoon of leisure, riding out in the reserve or free time to yourself. Early evenings, a chance to play some chukkas.
